Adem and Birgul are lovely people who show care and concern for their customer's needs. Honest and flexible, they teach me something new every time I visit them with some rug for repair or a question about some old rug I have found. Rugs may be their business but I would trust them with my children...

When my wife and I needed a rug for our living room we went to see Adem and Birgul Sloak, owners of Shirvan Rug Gallery. The size, design and colors had to fit the various pieces of furniture and wall motif. After seeing the selection in their gallery, they brought over at least half a dozen rugs to view in our home. We found what we wanted and were quite impressed with the advice and service from these very courteous and friendly people. We will definitely shop at Shirvan again.

My large, 100 year old Persian Rug (a coveted Serapi, about 9.5' X 13.5'), was in need of a LOT of loving care and repair...it had been used by my family for its entire life - daily! It was faded, thread bare and even damaged in some places. Adem and Birgul came so highly recommended that I called them first....and last. What they recommended made sense to me, and it was affordable. The Solaks picked it up, and a month later returned it....looking as it must have looked when my grandparents bought it at the turn of the last century!!! Fortunately my sister was visiting, and we both wept a bit when Adem rolled it out: it was exquisite. It looks absolutely beautiful, the colors vibrant and true, the fringe and damage repaired to perfection - I can't find where the damage was! The Solaks are highly regarded in this business community, and have earned their reputations as professionals and experts in their field. I can not recommend Shirvan Rug Gallery more highly.
